The five most common cancers in Nigeria are breast, cervix, liver, lungs and prostate cancer and breast and cervical cancer is the most common in women.

According to research, out of every 100,000 women, 50.4% are likely to have breast cancer while 29% are likely to have cervical cancer. This also means that 1 in every 8 women die every day due to breast cancer.

As a result of this, most women who have cancer are always afraid that It is a death sentence due to the high cost of treatment, lack of good quality care, insufficient or no counselling services and also lack of support from government or family.
